Choose ADSL is changing! Lancashire's favourite ISP is becoming Choose Broadband. We have also incorporated in our own right, branching out from Allogenes Limited to form the new Choose Broadband Limited. So there are many exciting developments ahead, and 2012 looks set to be a fantastic year!

Choose ADSL was a trading name of Allogenes Limited, the Lancashire based Internet Technology Company. You can read more about our parent company on the Allogenes Limited Website. Since 2001 broadband services were utilised internally and offered as a benefit to our externally based staff and freelance workers.

Allogenes incorporated at Companies House in October of 2003 and by 2005 the provision of broadband had expanded to include a select group of our existing business customers. In October of 2005 the Choose ADSL website was born and broadband services were made more widely available. In 2007 Choose ADSL further expanded the availability of its broadband services, making them available to the general public across the whole of the UK.

2007 also saw the drawing up of the Choose ADSL Charter to govern our responsibilities and commitment, and to guide our future endeavour. This was the first step in our evolution from Choose ADSL into Choose Broadband, an evolution which culminated in our incorporation as an independent Limited company (Choose Broadband Limited) in 2012 and which saw a name change to reflect the changing nature of our products and services.

Between 2007 and 2012 we determined a growing necessity for faster and faster services with the prevalence of streaming media and power hungry web applications. It was decided that we needed to focus on other broadband technologies not just ADSL. Thus we now offer a wide range of broadband products to suit our customers' needs, including Fibre to the Cabinet (FttC) connections with many more services in the pipeline. We hope to offer the faster FttC2, Ethernet First Mile (EFM) Fibre First Mile (FFM), and Bonded ADSL to name but a few. Our new name more accurately reflects the changing technologies we offer.

Choose Broadband Limited will continue to publish research and articles, promoting and campaigning for a strong digital future for the UK, and we will continue to invest in exciting new broadband solutions and technologies. Choose Broadband will continue be Lancashire's premier Internet Service Provider (ISP). We will continue to place equal importance on the speed, reliablity and stablity of the broadband solutions we offer.
